a couple of lines

No time horizon, no scale, no identifiers — just a couple of lines.

So many of the decisions that we make in the investment world are defined by lines.  “If two lines cross, it means something,” a co-worker used to say.  Perhaps the two above will cross sometime soon.

Of course, much of the business runs on the impressions created by lines on a page or a screen, certainly for technical analysts and traders, but for fundamentalists too.

And your reaction to this chart probably says much about the way you approach markets.  If you had to buy one or the other, which would it be, red or green?  (Chart:  Bloomberg terminal.)
